A stunning, fine and impressive vintage 1.83 carat Burmese ruby and 18 karat yellow gold floral brooch; part of our diverse vintage jewelry and estate jewelry collections. This stunning, fine and impressive 1990s vintage brooch has been crafted in 18k yellow gold. The brooch has been modelled in the form of a flower. The centre of the flower is represented by a circular domed design, embellished with nineteen stunning claw set round faceted cut Burmese rubies. The domed centre is encircled by six yellow gold petals embellished with matte textured decoration replicating the veins and organic details. The brooch design is further ornamented with a snake entwined with the petals; the serpent's tail creates a stemmed design to the flower head. The vintage brooch secures to the reverse with a hallmarked hinged pin and fastening. The impressive 1990s vintage ruby brooch is hallmarked to the reverse with the marks for 18k gold (18, .750), the maker's mark (RHB), the Birmingham Assay Office import mark (triangle) and the import date mark for 1990 (Q). This impressive Burmese ruby and gold brooch is supplied with an IDGL diamond grading report card, in addition to a ruby report card and certificate supplied by the Gemmological Certification Services, London*. This Burmese ruby and gold brooch combines a striking floral design with the unusual addition of a serpent motif. The rich red ruby provides a vivid focal point against the warmth of 18k yellow gold, while the intertwined forms create a piece of distinctive character. Its symbolic and imaginative design makes it particularly suited to milestone birthdays, anniversaries or as a unique heirloom piece.
