The two Michaels are Jayne and Joan, sisters and creative partners who founded their eponymous firm in 2001. Their interiors often feature contemporary art, as well as pieces influenced by the sisters’ shared expertise for European 20th century design.
Founded after the Michaels sisters graduated from FIT and Parsons, their firm has grown in profile over the years, earning respect by both the press and their peers. 2Michaels's projects are usually focused in New York City, which suits their graceful urbanity but increasingly they have turned their attention to the East End where their love of water and nature has found new meaning.
