Helmed by Sarah Zames and Colin Stief, who bring together their backgrounds in architecture, furniture and interiors, the studio has a distinct approach that looks at the needs of a project at every scale, from finishes and detailing to the way we move through space. General Assembly creates bespoke solutions that can range from custom furniture and millwork to spatial layout. Their sophisticated interiors champion craft, foreground honest materials, and heirloom-quality objects meant to improve with time and enhance everyday life.
