About Katch Interiors
OUR TOUCH, YOUR STYLE
Sisters Steph and Pamela Katch believe in the power of aesthetics to enhance the quality of one’s life experience both in the home and out in the world.
In 2007, they founded Katch ID with the clarity of knowing that creating a custom home can be an enjoyable and unintimidating process for their clients.
Natives of the sunny San Francisco Bay Area, the Katch sisters' refined aesthetic is rooted in their formative years. As children, they lived in a sun filled modernist home spotted with English antiques along with a measure of 70's modern. Their family's next home was a 1910 carriage house where minimalist and modern notes were folded in amidst the traditional architecture and furnishings. This formative foundation set the tone for their intrinsic shared aesthetic that they apply on behalf of their clients in their interiors practice today.
Their tailored interiors are welcoming, luxurious and informal, deftly built up through a focus on elegant proportion, a refined palette of materials, and a harmonious selection of modern, antique and custom furnishings. The firm’s classic, stylish spaces resonate with a palpable sense of ease and tranquility that stands the test of time.
In addition to their interiors, the Katch sisters have also designed an innovative collection of original furniture and accessories which, when introduced in 2009, immediately caught the attention of interior designers and the press alike, from The New York Times and Interior Design Magazine to Dwell and Remodelista.
Steph graduated from Parsons The New School for Design and received her NCIDQ license in 2000. She began her career at Naomi Leff & Associates, and went on to become the Vice President of the Residential Interiors firm Pembrooke and Ives in New York City.
Pamela entered into the profession to pursue her lifelong interest in Interior Design after leaving her position as a Creative Director at Mediaworks, a multimedia firm in New York City. There, she directed award winning site specific installations for Christies, The Brooklyn Museum and the World Monuments Fund. Prior to that, Pamela was the Director of Marketing at Tiffany & Co.
