19th Century Red French Chinoiserie Table Clock. Clock has a brass movement stamped "France," and is painted with gilt pagodas, and flowers, and birds, all on a dark red background. There is a hinged door opening to clock face, face features Roman and Arabic numerals. Clock rests on bracket feet. We do not guarantee clock workings or accuracy and recommend seeing a horologist if you wish to use for more than decorative piece.

This English George II period 18th century table clock consists in a scarlet-japanned and parcel-gilt rectangular case with elaborate chinoiserie decoration and pierced frets to the sides. Resting on a molded base with a shaped apron and bracket feet, the case presents an inverted bell top with a brass fold-down handle flanked by four vase-shaped finials as well as a foliate engraved backplate. The door opens on a break arch brass dial featuring a Roman chapter ring with Arabic minutes, nicely laid out with gilt foliate corner spandrels and a subsidiary strike/silent dial within the arch.
