Griffin Plaque

About the Item

Rescued from a building in Detroit MI, this turn of the century plaque provides a grand embellishment in a manner that can’t be replicated. A truly unique piece of architecture, two griffins face each other in a heraldic coat of arms featuring shield and crown. The demilune shape of the piece lends itself to the imagination, finding its home in gardens, walkways, walls, or as a lintel to an impressive entryway. Wear consistent with age.
