Tom Philabaum received a B.A. in Art and Education from Southern Illinois University in 1969, and then joined the innovative Glass Program at the University of Wisconsin studying under Harvey Littleton. Very large coloquinte vase from the Manufacture nationale de Sèvres. Hard porcelain with gold decoration of water lily leaves and butterflies on a shaded midnight-blue ground. Neck and heel highlighted with a gilded listel border. Green triangular stamp dated 1902.
