About the Item

A monumental ovoid shaped studio pottery vessel, signed on the bottom "Hammer". The vessel is sculpted to create an oculus on either side with an outward edge opening and becomes more sculptural than utilitarian. The color of the vessel diffused from brown on the outside to beige in the center, creating additional dimension to an already imposing piece.
