The exterior of the large tantalus box features rich highly figured burl walnut, contrasting exotic woods marquetry inlays, framed by ebonized molding. Exquisitely hand-crafted in France in the 19th century, most likely Parisian work, exceptionally executed design, this remarkable antique makes for an outstanding presentation piece, that's as functional as it is stunning. Depicting rectangular shaped chest form with curvacious serpentine molded front panel and protruding trim, having a hinged-lid folding lift-top, flanking a pair of hinged panel sides that swing back, creating an open bar display cabinet, showcasing a collection of French Baccarat and Bohemian Moser Glassworks crystal drinkware.
