A magnificent, fine and impressive, rare antique Scottish sterling silver gilt punch/ soup ladle; an addition to our silver cutlery collection This magnificent William IV sterling silver punch ladle has been hand forged in a rare and unusual design. The handle of the punch/soup ladle has been realistically modelled in the form of a horse's head, emanating from an impressive scrolling enveloping leaf design. The tapering stem is embellished with the contemporary engraved presentation inscription 'Presented to A. C. Renton by his father on his birth day, 3rd May 1833'. The reverse of this impressive example of antique silverware features an exceptional honeysuckle style heel to the shell shaped bowl. This exceptional 19th century example of Scottish silverware retains the original gilding. This magnificent ladle is rare and the finest example of its type you could hope to acquire. An exceptional, fine and impressive, set of four antique Edwardian Scottish sterling silver egg cups and spoons in the Art Nouveau style - boxed; part of our dining silverware collection This exceptional antique Edwardian Scottish sterling silver egg cup set consists of four egg cups and four spoons. Each of these impressive sterling silver egg cups have a bell-shaped form onto a circular spreading foot. The hallmarked body of each of these silver egg cups has a planished finish. The body of each piece is supported by three tyg* style handles in the Art Nouveau style. Each antique egg cup retains the original gilt interior. The original four hallmarked Scottish sterling silver spoons have a plain tapering form and a planished finish. This exceptional antique Edwardian set of four Scottish sterling silver egg cups and spoons are fitted to the original presentation box with a satin and velvet lined interior, securing with a push fit catch. The impressive velvet interior incorporates bespoke insets for each egg cup and spoon, in addition to two pivoting restraints to keep the spoons securely in situ. The interior of the cover bears the retailer's mark 'By special royal warrants, to H.R.H the Prince of Wales, to the Admiralty, to his Majesty the King, Edward.
