The pieces of this exceptional, antique composite Irish sterling silver flatware service for twelve persons have been crafted in the Hanoverian pattern. The surface of each handle is plain and unembellished. The original sterling silver forks have three tines/prongs. The posterior surface of each silver spoon has a rounded heel to the bowl. This Irish silver flatware set consists of eighty-four pieces: 12 Table knives 12 Table forks 12 Table spoons 12 Dessert knives 12 Dessert forks 12 Dessert spoons 12 Teaspoons This exceptional and composite Hanoverian pattern silver cutlery set has been crafted by various silversmiths* between 1771-1820; to enable this to be provided as a full twelve person service there are two dessert forks of a differing size. The service is supplied with replacement vintage sterling silver pistol handled table and dessert knives** crafted by C J Vander Ltd in 1963; the components will have been crafted in the same year but due to the hallmarking system the items are struck with the date letters g and h.
