An exceptional set of six antique French majolica fruit plates produced by Sarreguemines during the Belle Époque, one of the most celebrated periods in the history of French decorative arts. Each plate features a distinct fruit composition rendered in high relief, including strawberries, grapes, peaches, pears and other orchard fruits, emerging from richly modeled foliage that creates a remarkable sense of depth and movement across the surface. The hand-applied glazes display the warm ochre, green and burgundy tones characteristic of late nineteenth-century French majolica, while the finely detailed modeling reflects the technical sophistication for which the Sarreguemines workshops became internationally renowned.
