A large early 20th century Armenian terracotta storage vessel, hand-thrown and traditionally open-fired, now converted into a sculptural table lamp. This form would have originally been used for storing olive oil or water, with its broad shoulder, defined neck, and tapering base designed for both durability and capacity. The surface carries a rich open-fired finish, with natural variation across deep terracotta, burnt umber, and darker smoked areas created through direct exposure to flame in the kiln. A subtle banding line at the shoulder marks the transition in form, while the body retains visible traces of its hand-thrown construction beneath the surface.
