Inspired by antique European luxury cabinet and reworked in a contemporary style, the cabinet de salon Corde materializes from the Stefano Trapani's idea of creating a refined, modern piece of furniture using the ancient inlay tecnique of wood marquetry. The dialogue that takes place between materials and form represent the hearth of Corde cabinet, an interplay of exquisite elements wich connect it to a higher dimension, the artistic one, where design and art are the main protagonists. Features Crafted in Italy by Hebanon's master cabinet, the exterior marquetry is made in whitened birdseye maple wood with strips of black ash. The interior is a balance of geometries and volumes, achived using various exceptional materials, such as onyx, artistic glass, dichroic glass, mirror, metal and wood inlay. Designer - Stefano Trapani Graduated in architecture in Italy, Stefano Trapani began his first work experience in Paris in 2001 working on various projects including interior design, villas, flats and hotels. The architect has designed a collection of designer furniture still on display in a Home Gallery in Paris and created a chandelier for Plumbum that will be presented at the next Brussels Design Market 2021. A very rare and sophisticated sideboard by Vittorio Dassi stamped Permanente Mobili Cantu Italy from the 1950s consisting of four suspended cabinets, three of which have locking doors, the fourth has drawers with raised hexagonal pulls. Each cabinet has a chamfered top of a beautifully grained Italian walnut shaped in a distinctive diamond cut. This contrasts with more tightly grained fronts and side panels of the cabinets Above each cabinet is set a hexagonal glass shelf resting inset on brass supports detailed in a flat black lacquer and polished brass attached to the ends of tapering flat pillars of Italian walnut. The interiors of three of the four cabinets are finished in an aged off-white glazed birch with adjustable glass shelving. There are ten polished threaded bronze discs that are held in cast bronze hexagonal housings that allow the sideboard to adjust to uneven or stone flooring. The bronze bases are also accented in flat black lacquer.
