An elaborate Louis XV style marble-top table with gold gilt finish and beautiful hand-carved details, circa 1890. Its original, serpentine and beveled breccia marble slab has wonderful coloring throughout the patches of minerals in tones of ivory, lavender, and green. Note the stone is removable from the base for safe transport. The painted, giltwood base has a scalloped and carved apron featuring rococo motifs as floral and shell designs flanked by scrolls and more foliage at the corners.
