Nickel Furniture

This striking four arm chandelier was designed by Harald Notini and produced by Arvid Böhlmarks Lampfabrik in Sweden, circa 1927. This particular model numbered 6316 is a great example of the unique Swedish Grace style of this period. The striking design consists of four marbled glass shades with a slightly undulating, scalloped rim. The shades are attached to brass holders with a serrated shape, connected to the centre by brass arms in a beautiful curved shape. The sphere shaped centre of the fixture with serrated decorative details throughout, with a separate hanging sphere attached to the lowest part of the lamp. This hanging sphere can be easily removed if desired. The fixture is entirely executed in nickel plated brass which has developed a beautiful and natural patina over time. An important and rare pair of original French Art Deco period cubist arm chairs of simple and very elegant design. The warm brown finished rosewood is exceptionally well-figured and trimmed with a thin nickeled bronze decorative banding all around the base and overall. Brass Sistema chandelier, made with a nickel plated finish lightly brushed. This chandelier brings the popular chrome like finish to the Sistema and Sistema solare group. I'm using nickel finish because it's harder and the light brushing gives more dept to the finish. It also keeps the finish uniform in case of use, considering this chandelier has moving parts. Last nickel plating is a bit more warm than chrome. This chandelier uses an ingenious rotating stem structure and features a shallow drum-shaped shade at the end of each arm. The chandelier arms are designed with two lengths so that each can be staggered at different angles. They work well in any space and suit both regular and low-ceilinged rooms wonderfully. This is the medium Sistema chandelier, with 3 arms and 6 shades. Ideal for an oval or long dining table. It works well also over an island. The result is uniform lighting from above the dining table. There is nothing else like this on the market. There are beautiful chandeliers available, but they always tend to give out too much light in the center and too little at either side. Each shade has two LED strips that can be lit separately. In this way you can have either a regular light or a stronger light depending on how you need to use the chandelier. The LEDs are top quality with a CRI of over 80. This ensures that the natural color of food and people can be seen perfectly. The LEDs are on a 24V direct current feed, so there is no flickering. The arms can rotate 180 degrees, for many possible combinations. See the drawing for the two regular positions. The chandelier can also be rotated when it is lit. The shades can be rotated on the arm axis to meet any lighting needs in a living room (paintings, bookshelves etc.). The shades have neutral white glass fixtures. Please see the photos. On the back there is a smaller Lucite opening for giving ambient light. This listing shows measurements for a dining table and the smallest drop. A change of drop is complimentary. The sides have oversized handles as they need to be, the safe must weight in excess of 100kgs, the rear has a similar medieval crest The finish is sublime, truly exquisite, this is a work of art and will be the centre piece and pride of any collection, I have absolutely no desire to sell it whatsoever, if it stays in my collection forever so be it, I will never have the chance to own such a piece again and it is an absolute pleasure to see it each day For a similar strong box signed to the interior by Dittman and Gatchen and worthy of comparison see a very fine example from The Alphonse de Rothschild Collection which was sold on the 26th of March 1973 at the De Rede sale in Monaco as lot 167.
