An Extremely Charming Late 17th Century William & Mary Period Walnut Cushion Framed Wall Mirror, Of Exceptional Untouched Colour And Patina, Retaining Original Mirror Plate. This is one of the most charming little mirrors that we have owned for quite some time. As can be seen from the images the mirror plate itself is very much pitted and silvered, but its original and wow doesn't it add great character. However its not one that we would recommend to anybody looking for a mirror in a spot where they actually need to see the reflection. The cushioned frame is made in sections as expected for one from this period and retains a fabulous rich, warm colour to go alongside the aforementioned original mirror plate. This mirror has real charm and character and actually something which we would happily add to our own collection at home given the chance. After all it is relatively rare to find a mirror of this date and form which is still as untouched and original as this particular one. It would make an absolutely great addition to almost any collection, room or spot for anybody who loves and appreciates traditional english antique furniture...

An extremely large and rare William and Mary 17th century 41 inch olive oyster cushion framed mirror, circa 1690 England. The age patinates mirror palte is bordered by a fine cross-grain ovolo moulding. The pulvinated frame is decorated entirely in well-chosen book-matched sections of olive oysters and edged with a beaded ovolo cross-grain moulding. It should be noted that this is an extremely large example with a bold pulvinated frame that can only be described as stately. The mirror is of a scale that would suit as an overmantel, console or above a large case piece...
