Four Midcentury White Blue Linen Boomerang Chairs, Dark Wood, Poland, 1960s
Located in 05-080 Hornowek, PL
One of the most recognizable chairs from the Polish PRL period, produced in the 1960s in Goscininskie Furnitures Factory. Chairs type 299, commonly called Boomerang due to the very original and characteristic shape of the legs. They have undergone a comprehensive renovation. Beech wood thoroughly cleaned of old varnish and protected with colorless wood wax, which gave the surface a velvety coating. Upholstery and filling replaced. Upholstery fabric in the color of blue and white was used in this renovation. This is a sketchy textured fabric comprising rich melange tones in linen and cotton. This versatile plain with abstract weaves...

Mid-Century Polish Glass Zodiac Block – Capricorn
Located in Hamburg, DE
This captivating Mid-Century glass object from Poland is a beautiful representation of 1950s design. Crafted from solid, cast colored glass, the piece is rectangular in shape and reminiscent of a glass brick. The front showcases an artistic relief of the zodiac sign Capricorn – featuring both the symbol and a stylized figure of the mythological sea-goat, a timeless emblem of this astrological sign. Its bold coloration and the expressive, sculptural quality of the design are typical of the era. When placed in natural light or in front of a window, the glass comes alive, glowing with warmth and brilliance. It’s an eye-catching piece that can serve not only as a decorative element but also as a unique architectural feature, such as a built-in glass block within a wall. This zodiac glass...

Mid-Century 366 Armchair in Blue Velvet, by Jozef Chierowski, Europe 1960s
By Jozef Chierowski
Located in 05-080 Hornowek, PL
The 366 armchair is an icon of the polish design of the PRL period. The famous armchair was designed in 1962 by the Polish interior designer and furniture designer Jozef Marian Chierowski. Produced in the Lower Silesian Furniture Factory in Swiebodzice. The chair has a simple, modernist form. It consists of an upholstered seat combined with a wooden backrest. The organic shape is typical of the 1960s style. The chair is very ergonomic and comfortable, as the furniture designs of that time were largely focused on the user. Due to its small size, the furniture fits perfectly into the interiors of contemporary apartments, perfectly meeting the needs of customers. The chair is in perfect condition after a professional renovation. We can prepare this set also in another wood and fabric color. Please check color samples on the last pictures. About the fabric: This is special collection of velvet in a stunning color range of more than 100 different shades of both pure classic and non-obvious pastel broken colors. The colour palette has been created with extreme attention following the most recent trends. The unique feature of this fabric is its producing in nanotechnologies, so called WATER CLEAN, which gives it a high resistance to stains and facilitates the removal of stains from coffee, chocolate and even ink. This fabric is a perfect imitation of cotton velvet, gives the effect of softness and matte surface which works very well in heavy curtains...
