Country: Denmark Date: 1970s Material: Black Leather with Beech wood frame Maximum Dimensions: Width 142cm, Depth 88cm, Height 82cm, Seat Height 46cm and Seat Depth 53cm Condition: Excellent with only small signs of previous use or wear, mainly in the form of rubbing to the piping on the arms and cushions Description: An elegant Danish 1970s two seat sofa, in the famous Borge Mogensen style, produced by Danish manufacturer Stouby. Please note we also have a matching 3 seat sofa to accompany this piece, which can be found in a separate listing. The sofa is upholstered in genuine thick Black textured Buffalo Leather, the Leather being a real trademark of the Stouby quality. The sofa features four removable cushions, with the addition of a pair of fixed side cushion inserts. The profile of the sofa, particularly the arms, are reminiscent of the original Mogensen design. The whole piece is raised upon a Beech wood frame with four block Beech feet to each corner. The Stouby manufacturers stitching and tag can also be found to the underside of the cushions.
