English Art Deco Walnut Framed Cane Bergere Sofa C.1920
About the Item
An English Art Deco Walnut Framed Bergere Sofa C.1920.
Classic Art Deco shaped arms with with acanthus leaf and lion head carvings.
A scalloped apron terminating on ball and claw feet. The sofa has additional castors for ease of movement (these are removable).
The Bergere features a firm sprung base below feather filled cushions providing added comfortable. Double caned back rest and sides, all in excellent condition and free from holes or splits, also accompanied with feather filled scatter cushions.
A superb example, in excellent condition commensurate of age. The upholstery fabric is in very good serviceable condition, but is not new, therefore, the new owner may wish to recover.
