About the Item

Mid Corner Sofa by Kann Design Dimensions: D 70 x W 170 x H 74 cm. Materials: Solid wood, steel, wood veneer, HR foam, fabric upholstery - seating: Sahco Ellis 4 - back: Sahco Ellis 18 (70% viscose, 30 % linen). Available in other fabrics. Designed by Meghedi Simonian, the Mid Corner sofa plays on the contrast between the walnut backrest, decorated with two cushions at a reclining angle, and the rounded shape of the seat which helps structure the space. The choice of colour combines two opposite shades: grey and brick red extend and accentuate the horizontality of the seat’s lines. Founded in 2010, Kann Design is a furniture-making brand that brings together the know-how of the Kanaan workshop and the talents of independent designers. Kann’s adventure is above all a family story: what distinguishes it from the rest is the skilled work of the craftsmen of Kanaan, a collective founded in 1958 in Beit Chabab, Lebanon, by the father of Houssam, the founder of Kann Design, himself a cabinetmaker. Since its creation, the studio has shown and gained great skills in cabinetmaking, painting, tapestry, and welding, and since 2017, thanks to Houssam’s brother, Samer Kanaan, the workshops have been modernized and expanded to accommodate Kann’s ever-more ambitious projects, particularly customized orders for specific projects carried out in collaboration with architects.
