The designer Maria Fernanda Paes de Barros, creator of Yankatu, traveled to Paraiba to get a closer look at the Embrapa's research that managed to make the colored cotton yarn have the strength and length needed for its use in spinning and weaving. Inspired by the Brazilian richness in colors, flowers, sounds, races, flavors and dreams Maria Fernanda Paes de Barros created the Intertwined collection as a way of honoring Brazil's mixture of cultures, races, habits and emotions. As all the pieces produced by Yankatu, is accompanied by its soul, a certificate of authenticity in the form of a small book that tells about the inspiration that gave birth to it and leaves blank pages so that its story can continue to be told by those who acquire it, turning it into something more, which does not change with fashion, which does not go by with time.
