About the Item

This very impressive sideboard, called Plato, is a creation of the acclaimed maestro Ferdinando Meccani. Meccani's philosophy revolves around great respect for nature and the pure search for integration of design and building furniture in a sustainable way. Crafted entirely from solid walnut, the Plato sideboard is a statement of Italian artisanal excellence. Designed by Ferdinando Meccani in the late 20th century, this piece reflects the architectural precision and sculptural sensitivity characteristic of Meccani Design. The sideboard features a striking façade composed of staggered panels in varying depths, creating a dynamic interplay of light and shadow. Both functional and sculptural, the design combines craftsmanship with an abstract, geometric aesthetic. Meccani was ahead of his time and used the beautiful adage that goes as follows: "to beautify the environment in which we live".
