About the Item

Intersection oval table by Neri&Hu Dimensions: W240 x D 117 x H73 cm Materials: Canaletto Walnut Veneer Wood and Noce, Canaletto Solid Wood Other sizes available. Founded in 2004 by partners Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu, Neri&Hu Design and Research Office is an inter-disciplinary architectural design practice based in Shanghai, China. Currently working on projects in many countries, Neri&Hu is composed of multi-cultural staff who speak over 30 different languages. The diversity of the team reinforces a core vision for the practice: to respond to a global worldview incorporating overlapping design disciplines for a new paradigm in architecture. Neri&Hu has been widely reported by the press around the world and their designs have been recognized by a number of prestigious international awards. Founders Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu have been named EDIDA Designers of the Year 2017, Interior Designers of the Year at ICONIC Awards 2017 by the German Design Council and Maison&Objet Asia Designers of the Year 2015. Wallpaper* has also named them Designers of the Year 2014 La Manufacture, Neri&Hu have designed a range of bookcases with sliding panels, as part of their ‘Intersection’ collection celebrating monastery life. The use of natural or stained wood panels for the structure gives this range of bookcases a simple, yet sculptural air. Simplicity expressed through clean and uncluttered lines, evoking traditional and religious furniture that favours function over ornamentation. This high-quality walnut bookcase comes in different heights and widths and is available in a variety of finishes: natural, stained plum, off-white or dark green. Despite its simple and austere look, this collection designed and developed during the pandemic radiates a certain sense of tranquility and serenity. It is an invitation to focus on what truly matters, on building sincere relationships.
