A very rare example, I have never seen this type of 3D map before, it is 170+ years old and wonderfully patinated as you can see. The table is all in burr walnut including the chessboard top, if you flip that top over you have the baize card playing surface

Black Forest items date from the late 1800s, although most people believe Black Forest originated in Germany or Austria, it was the Swiss who are the ones that invented the style from the City of Brienz.
