SST006 Small Table by Stone Stackers

About the Item

SST006 small table by Stone Stackers Dimensions: D35.6 x H41 cm Materials: Marbles: Marble Top: Carrara Gioia Marble Structure: Portoro Emperador Dark Rosso Cardinale Calacatta Oro Cipollino Verde Carrara Weight: 16 kg This small table perfectly reflects the concept of the collection, Stacking. Elicited from the concept of stone balancing, the central support is crafted stacking the broken pieces. The top parades a perfect round Cararra marble, soothing and refining the design. Stone Stackers The Concept: The Stone Stackers brand is deeply classic and highly contemporary. The idea of reclaiming and re-purposing discarded marble into works of practical art is at the forefront of a global movement that champions conscious provenance and sustainability in design. The act of intelligently re-imagining the off-cuts of once ancient stone – by-products of the unsustainable quarry of marble from Italian mountains – and creating ultra modern pieces designed to last a lifetime is both an act of entrepreneurial creativity and altruistic environmentalism. The duality of old and new – of creating something from nothing – is further reflected in the real-world union of the founders, Paolo Ciacci and Shilpa Srinivas, along with their partner Simeg Marmi. Their individual experiences and common vision have given birth not only to a new enterprise, but an original interpretation of the eternal value and beauty of stone.
