About the Item

In "Music of the Night," Anna Shesterikova creates a complex pictorial space in which silence resounds. The painting is built on a subtle interplay of depth and light: from a dark, almost graphite-like environment, cool blue flowers and soft lilac blossoms slowly emerge, seeming to flicker in the twilight air. The nocturnal atmosphere here is not dramatic, but meditative. The vertical, dark rhythms of the background recall forest trunks or a theater curtain, behind which a fragile, almost musical action unfolds. Each flower is like a separate note, and their combination forms a visual score. The blue petals with golden accents in the center sound bright and pure, while the lilac masses create a soft accompaniment. Texture is of particular importance. The use of acrylic textured paste lends tactile texture to the surface: brushstrokes and reliefs create a play of light, causing the painting to change depending on the viewing angle. This enhances the "sound" effect—the space seems to vibrate, breathe, and shimmer. Coloristically, the work is built on a subtle balance of cool lavender, dusty green, and muted olive hues. The palette is not flashy, but rather refined and intimate, enhancing the sense of nocturnal silence and inner focus. "Music of the Night" is a reflection on the hidden energy of nature, on the inner harmony that is revealed only in a state of rest. The work combines decorative expressiveness with emotional depth and can seamlessly exist in both a modern, minimalist interior and a space that values pictorial complexity and texture. The painting is ready for hanging on the wall and is equipped with hooks and cord. The sides are painted dark. Chattanooga-based artist Christina Renfer Vogel’s “Turning Towards the Sun” features paintings that reflect an intentional turn towards beauty in the face of the tension & uncertainty of recent years.
