Mid-Century Modern black foldable vintage writing desk "Platone" designed by Giancarlo Piretti 1969 Italy and produced by Anonima Castelli, Italy.
The desk is framed with chromed steel and the writing surface is made of black moulded Perspex.

On the writing plate there are moulds for the writing material.
The overall condition is very good with some minor signs of wear due the age.

Giancarlo Piretti
Giancarlo Piretti was born in Bologna, Italy, in 1940. He attended art schools there and subsequently taught Interior Design. During that time, he was also designing furniture for Anonima Castelli. He has won numerous awards and has items in many museums, including MoMA, New York. He still lives and works in Bologna with his son, designer Alessandro Piretti.
