About the Item

Excepptionnal brass and glass shelf, featuring five supported wooden shelves held by two glass blades at the ends, all securely connected and fixed by brass screws. The glass is engraved «Vitrex» Originally designed for the Ventrocoke offices in Milan Gio PONTI is an architect, designer, painter, author, teacher and director of Italian publications. He is mainly known for his architectural projects during his career, in fact, it was only natural for him to offer furniture that meets the demand for glass materials to correlate with the typical glass architecture of the Art Deco period. This shelf was originally made for the offices of the company Ventrocoke in Milan. Dimensions: H: 33.1inches W: 34.5inches D: 14.5inches ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Elégante étagère de laiton et de verre, comportant cinq étagères soutenues de bois maintenues par deux lames de verres aux extrémités, le tout solidement relié et fixé par des vis en laiton. Le verre est engravé « Vitrex » Réalisé à l’origine pour les bureaux de la société Ventrocoke à Milan Gio PONTI est un architecte, designer, peintre, auteur, enseignant et directeur de publications italien. Il est principalement connu pour ses projets d’architecture au cours de sa carrière, de fait, il n’était que naturel pour lui de proposer des meubles qui répondent à la demande de matériaux en verre pour corréler avec les architecture en verre typique de la période Art Déco.
