A beautifully preserved pair of Mason’s Ashworth’s Ironstone plates, dating to the circa 1870s, showcasing a richly detailed chinoiserie landscape inspired by Peking, Japan. These 19th century plates feature a dynamic scene with pagodas, figures, bridges, and foliage, expertly rendered in vibrant tones with outstanding clarity.
The plates are a fine example of the anglo oriental aesthetic that defined the era’s fascination with the East. The deep, saturated glazes and intricate border patterns highlight the superior quality typical of Ashworth’s production under the Mason’s name.
