Pair of colorful earrings designed by Angela Cummings for Tiffany & Co.
Rare and iconic pieces, created in New York city by Angela Cummings at the Tiffany studios back in the 1970's. These earrings have been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish and fitted with posts for pierced ears and hinged omega backs for fastening clips. Embellished with 12 free forms flat carvings of natural gemstones such; black jade, blue lapis lazuli, red jasper and white nacre, all inlaid in the gold. The positive and negative or Polka dots patterns are one of the most popular design of Cummings. Actually this model is discontinued.

Angela Cummings, was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business.
These pair is a very nice collector's piece, both her signed pieces for Tiffany & Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and also her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.
