About the Item

An impressive Victorian five stone ruby ring, consisting of five cushion-cut rubies graduating in size from the centre, the smaller ruby weighing 0.60 carat and the largest weighing 1.27 carats, with combined total weight 4.35 carats, accompanied by GCS Report stating to be of Burmese origin with no indication of heating, all claw set to a gold mount with scroll engraved sides and shoulders, circa 1880, head measuring 0.8×2.3cm, finger size P, gross weight 6.8 grams. This Victorian ring is in excellent condition. Unmarked, tested as 18ct gold. This vivid Victorian ring comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, Jewellers by Royal Appointment to His Majesty King Charles III. It features a row of lush cushion-cut rubies of wonderful colour and size set in bright yellow gold. The five-stone ring was a popular style during the Victorian era, and this ring exemplifies late-nineteenth century opulence and elegance. The finger size of most of our rings can be adjusted and our workshop will be happy to do this free of charge. If you do not know your finger size please request us to post you a finger measure. Should you choose to make this purchase we would be delighted to send it to you in a Bentley & Skinner handmade leather case packed in a gift-wrapped Bentley & Skinner black and gold presentation box. Shortly afterwards we will send you on a valuation for insurance purposes for your reference and safekeeping.
