Monture Cartier diamond cocktail ring. Centrally set with a round old cut diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.30 carats, flanked by sixteen round eight-cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.24 carats, and further set with eight round transitional cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.26 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.80 carats, to an impressive architectural design, featuring polished edges, a raised gallery with ridged detail throughout, and fancy open backholing, leading to broad integrated shoulders which flow through to a ridged D-shaped shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, French import marks, indistinct makers mark, signed Monture Cartier', accompanied by original Cartier box, French, 1950, accompanied by IAJA report #XP2251-040325.
To signify that the customer's stones were used, every made-to-order piece was given the signature 'Monture Cartier' meaning Cartier mounting...
