George III Sterling Silver Tea Strainer by Peter & Ann Bateman
About the Item
This very simple sterling silver tea-strainer was manufactured in London by Peter & Ann Bateman of the famed Bateman family. The strainer is very simple in its construction and features two 'handles' allowing it to sit over a cup without it being held. Hallmarked for manufacture by Peter & Ann Bateman of the famed Bateman silversmithing family, the piece is just as useable today as it was in the 18th Century and presents in lovely antique condition.
