This stunning, fine and impressive antique Victorian cabochon cut Chrysoberyl brooch has been crafted in 18k yellow gold.
The bar brooch is ornamented to the centre with a feature 1.55 Ct cabochon cut cat's eye chrysoberyl, displaying fine chatoyance*.
The feature chrysoberyl is encircled by fifteen pavé set Old European round cut diamonds.
The bar design is embellished with a further six larger pavé set Old European round cut diamonds.
The brooch has a 5.5mm pearl terminal to either end.
The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp, and is fitted with a ring loop from with a safety chain may be secured if so desired.
*Chatoyance is an optical phenomenon in which a band of reflected light, known as a "cat's-eye," moves just beneath the surface of a cabochon-cut gemstone.
