The most wonderful 18 karat yellow gold, ruby and diamond spray brooch from the 1950s. The handcrafted cocktail brooch appears as stylised feathers which have been accented with spines of brilliant cut rubies and semi modern brilliant cut diamonds. The 30 semi modern brilliant cut diamonds are of G/H colour and SI clarity totalling 1.20 carat while the 26 rubies total 6.50 carat. The spray brooch pin sweeps down and pins in place with a hinged twin pin and tube type clasp. The piece is reminiscent of the style of brooches that were popularised in the 1950s by people like Wallis Simpson the Duchess of Windsor and Princess Grace of Monaco. This unique white gold ring was made by the jewellery house 'Grima' and features a sizeable boulder opal set with diamonds on a triangular shank. The grooved tapered shank sweeps up to a point where there is a triangular cabochon 'boulder' opal which is claw set and surrounded by 10 round brilliant cut diamonds.
