Charming small Cathrineholm cereal bowl with blue on blue lotus design. Very good condition overall with one very small scratch and two nicks to base of interior, as shown in photos. Perfect for cereal, fruit a sauce or striking decor.
Cathrineholm was not a woman's name but was the factory based in Halden, Norway. It started as an iron works around 1827, before transitioning to the more modern enamelware in 1907. The most popular line, the midcentury "Magical Lotus" series was introduced in the 1960s. The factory eventually closed down around 1972.
