Art Nouveau Flemish Earthenware Three Handled Vase by Leo Maes Vereenooghe

Located in Topeka, KS

Handsome Art Nouveau Flemish earthenware three handled vase with applied L.M.V mark and decorated with figures in landscape. It is in good vintage condition. One handle has been restored and there are several glaze flakes and small chips; however, it still presents very nicely. It is priced accordingly. Please see photos, circa 1890s-1910s. I fell in love with this pot immediately so snatched it up quickly. Then fell in love further after learning about its rich Flemish history. This three-handled Art Nouveau jug style vase is decorated with interesting figures and landscapes in the most beautiful blue, yellow, green, and brown polychrome glaze. It is signed by the artist, Leo Maes...

24-Piece Collection of Blue Niloak Midcentury Pottery
24-Piece Collection of Blue Niloak Midcentury Pottery

24-Piece Collection of Blue Niloak Midcentury Pottery

Located in Topeka, KS

Handsome 24-piece collection of bright blue Niloak midcentury pottery. They are all in fabulous vintage condition apart from the small glossy glazed Dutch shoe. It sounds like it is cracked but I cannot visually see a crack. The rest appear to have no chips, cracks, or chiggers, and very light crazing if any. Please see photos. We are selling this as a complete 24-piece set. Five pieces are not marked. They are noted in the list, circa 1937-1947. Holy cow! Blue, blue, my love is blue……! I had never seen this much Niloak in one place before obtaining this collection. And all in one color. It is so gorgeous! What better way for you to jump right into the blue trend in decorating. These will be incredible whether you display them all together in one place or scatter them about. Someone spent years at and put in a lot of love into gathering these beauties. Please see below for list and sizes. Niloak is a line of pottery which was produced in Benton, Arkansas by Eagle Pottery Company. Eagle was found in 1890s by Charles Dean Hyten and his brothers. By 1904 Eagle was the largest pottery-ware business in the Benton area. Then in 1909 Arthur Dovey joined Hyten, by then the sole owner, to develop an operation to produce art pottery. Thus, began Niloak. The name Niloak is the spelling of kaolin reversed. Kaolin is the main ingredient of porcelain. Niloak was and is best known for their Swirl pottery resembling marbled paper. Then in 1932 Niloak transitioned from hand thrown products to slip-cast and mold-pressed production which was spearheaded by Stoin M. Stoin. These 62 Hywood shapes were simply marked on the bottom Niloak. Beginning in 1939 new shapes were added that provided a lip and the bottoms of pieces were able to be glazed. Because of the war effort many materials were regulated which were used in the Niloak glazes and clay, so the recipes were reformulated. After the war regular production resumed and new bright glazes were used. By the end of 1947 Niloak was no more. List of pottery items with sizes: • Southern belle planter 10 H x 8 W x 8 D inches • Dutch shoe gloss glaze 2.25 H x 2.25 W x 4.5 D inches • Winged Victory swirl vase 6.5 H x 3.75 W x 3.75 D inches • 2-handled baskets 3.25 H x 3 W x 3 D inches • Rocking horse planter...

Gorgeous Folk Art style multi-color molded plastic or acrylic hand vases a set of 7. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. One of the maroon vases is partially filled. These are hand made folk art, irregularities are part of their charm. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, 20th Century. Note: Shipping is possible via parcel which may reduce shipping costs Hey there! Do you need a hand? Or SEVEN?? We are here to help!! We have seven Folk Art style vases with molded hands of many vibrant colors to offer to you! This set includes 2 white, 2 maroon or burgundy, 1 green, 1 yellow, and one bright red molded plastic vases. That’s 35 fantastic fingers!! They are round at the bottom and kind of oval or egg shaped at the top. They are inner lined with burlap for extra reinforcement, but they are light weight, so if you want to put something a little heavier inside like an artificial plant, you may want to put a weight of some kind in the base. They will hold water, but for a “handy” tip… we certainly DO NOT recommend drinking from them! They are best used as unique, eye-catching décor!! They would host a wonderful spider plant...

Vintage Large Arts & Crafts Sea Green Crackle Glazed Urn Shaped Floor Vase

Located in Topeka, KS

Stunning vintage large Arts & Crafts sea green crackle or glazed urn shaped floor vase. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. There is a “spider crack” on the base and slightly up the side in the glaze that has been solidified with epoxy. If you tap your finger it rings like there is no crack, but we cannot guarantee that it can hold water. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Early 20th Century. This is a GORGEOUS vintage sea green urn or oil jar shaped floor vase. Teco pottery has a very similar shade of green in their pottery collection and Roseville and McCoy have similar shapes as this one but ours has no glaze on the bottom and is not marked so we cannot claim a name… but no matter! It is absolutely wonderful! It wears a crackle or crazing to the glaze and stands proud at 15 inches tall with a 12-inch diameter so it’s pretty large scale. There is a spider crack on the bottom that goes up the side and a bit into the glaze which we solidified with epoxy, but it will not hold water unless you insert another vessel inside the top, so you’ll need to adorn it with faux florals...

Vintage Modern Aubergine Corrugated Cardboard Urn Floor Vase Style Van Pelt

By Gregory Van Pelt

Located in Topeka, KS

Lovely vintage modern aubergine painted corrugated cardboard large urn shaped floor vessel vase with brass plated brim in the style of Gregory Van Pelt’s Flute Lamp. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. It has a fresh coat of aubergine paint; however, we left the patina on the brass plated rim because we love it. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Late 20th Century. What does an eggplant, Barney the dinosaur, and this floor vase have in common? They are ALL the perfect shade of PURPLE!!! This is an INCREDIBLE urn shaped floor vase in the style of Gregory Van Pelt’s “Flute” lamp!! Interestingly, there are SO many misattributions of this corrugated cardboard vase being designed by Frank Gehry. And, although he DID in fact design many pieces of corrugated cardboard furniture, including the “Easy Edges” line in 1972, Gehry did NOT design these vases or cardboard lighting. It was in 1976, Van Pelt produced a line of cardboard lighting using a compass and razor blade. He called the pieces “Flute” lamps. The difference between Van Pelt’s fiberboard and Gehry’s laminated layers of cardboard may have been too subtle for initial buyers to notice. Hence, a life of misattributions. BUT make NO mistake… this floor vase is AWESOME!! At 19 inches tall and 13 inches in diameter, it is large scale in size and sure to bring a pop of purple passion to any room in your home! It has a fresh coat of aubergine paint; however, the brass plated brim bares a bit of aged patina which we purposefully left because we LOVE it. Although we call it a floor vase, it will not hold water unless you insert another vessel inside the top, so you’ll need to use faux florals...

Collection 6 Vintage Vases Abingdon RumRill Van Briggle Gonder 2 Gladding McBean

By Van Briggle

Located in Topeka, KS

Handsome collection of six vintage 20th century vases. One each of Abingdon, RumRill, Gonder, and Van Briggle, and two of Gladding McBean. They are all in wonderful vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or chiggers that we have seen. Please see photos. We are selling these as a set of six, circa mid-20th century. Even though, and maybe because, each one of these vases is outstanding by itself…we have put them together in a collection just for you. And are they ever spectacular. There are three tall and narrow vases. The first one is a gorgeous matte dusty pink fluted fan vase by Abingdon. The second is by Gonder with a rather lily of the valley design and a fabulous gloss gray glaze on its exterior and a beautiful pink interior. The third is a double handled turquoise by Gladding McBean. The next three are short bulbous vases more like rose bowls. The first of these is a turquoise Van Briggle reticulated philodendron leaf bowl. The second is a creamy white ribbed bowl by RumRill. And the last is urn shape by Gladding McBean with a turquoise exterior and a creamy white interior. Each is signed and a wonderful treasure. We love the way they look in a group, but you may want to scatter them about for individual touches of delight. Just make them yours! Measures: • Pink Abingdon Vase...

Collection of Four Vintage Pottery Pieces Aubergine Yellow Plum Green Swirl

By Frankoma Pottery, Hull Pottery

Located in Topeka, KS

Handsome collection of four vintage pottery pieces including an aubergine bowl, Hull yellow vase, plum or eggplant Frankoma ewer, and a swirl green with purple pot. They are all in wonderful vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or chiggers. The swirl pot does have drip marks that I’m not sure are from age or the original dipping process which created the swirl, but it does not detract from the beauty of the piece. Please see photos. We have priced these as a set of four, circa 20th century. Because they look so beautiful together, we are selling these four amazing 20th century American pottery pieces as a set. Maybe it’s a start of a collection for you or maybe you just love them for their looks! The first piece is a gorgeous aubergine bowl which is unsigned but through research we attribute it to Dryden due to its wonderful matte glaze. The second piece is marked. It is a Hull early 1920s vase with a very unusual golden yellow and green with touches of plum or aubergine gloss glaze. It is absolutely stunning! The third piece is also signed. It is an ewer by Frankoma the famous Oklahoma pottery. Glazed in either their plum or eggplant color which is so deep it is almost black in some of the photos. The fourth and last piece is a bit of a puzzle and it is unmarked. Its fabulous swirl green, yellow, with touches of aubergine remind us of both Nemadji pottery...
