This is a charming pair of early to mid-nineteenth century (possibly period, late 18th c.) Louis XVI side chairs. The chairs have retained their original pale gray-green painted surface which has acquired a rich natural patina. The chairs are upholstered in a vintage high-end leopard velvet reminiscent of Madeline Castaing. The upholstery is further detailed in brass nail heads. These are truly show-stopping and super chic chairs.

This is a unique set of 4 Bamboo and Wicker Chinese Chippendale Side Chairs that most probably date to c 1930-1940. The chairs, although iconic in form, feature leopard/oil spot bamboo frames and wicker seats which are finely wrapped in rattan at their joints and surrounding the woven wicker seats.
