Nestled in a chic high-rise building, this colorful Beverly Hills suite features the owner’s impressive collection of books and art, custom furniture and installations, and natural, luxurious materials throughout.

Floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides of the living room reveal beautiful views of the city outside and are framed by large houseplants. Custom furniture was commissioned for the homeowner, who needed the seat height of her chairs and sofa to be high in order to accommodate her height and lifestyle. The dining area features custom wall-to-wall shelving displaying the owner’s beloved collection of books beside plants and sculptures, adding an extra splash of color to the space. Bright blues and purples make the airy and light space feel grounded and welcoming. Around the dining room table, a variety of vintage office chairs were upholstered with the same teal textile, inviting guests to sit comfortably. The bright color and mobile designs of the chairs are a fun, modern update on dining furniture.

An agate-inspired wallpaper textile adds a natural and organic touch to the plush, achromatic office. A custom desk was made in a black powder-coated steel to fit the owner perfectly. A matching shelf was also a necessity to keep her books close at hand. Pillows with Picasso illustrations embroidered on them add sophisticated interest to the beautiful dark sofa, while potted plants add life and color to the elegant workspace.

The primary bedroom features a luxurious and welcoming bed frame upholstered in soft velvet. Above it, a custom neon sign reading “phantasmagoria” adds an ethereal glow. The California king suite bed features an organic coconut mattress and is outfitted with a reversible duvet in a custom color scheme. Plush deep carpeting feels soft and comforting underfoot, and dark purple walls and curtains allow the owner to sleep in total darkness.
