Brooklyn Eclectic

Twenty stories up, this Brooklyn apartment lacked an individual identity. Faced with new challenges related to the Covid-19 outbreak, the end goal was simple; transform the two bedroom apartment into a functional multipurpose space that allowed for working from home, ample kitchen storage, and cozy nights on the sofa. Traditional Chinese antiques create some much needed tension in what otherwise would be a very modern and minimalistic space. The couple’s extensive antique blue and white porcelain collection act as the “red-thread” throughout the home, linking each space together while new engineered hardwood floors in a rich chocolate brown ground the design by adding some much needed contrast to the otherwise light and airy space.
