Buff & Hensman House

Architectural renovation and interior design for a Buff & Hensman residence originally designed in 1961. The historic building was restored back to its original ground plan and window openings. The structure was opened up much like open-air pavilions in South America. Ceramicist Stan Bitters was enlisted to create two water walls. An expansive outdoor living area with a kitchen, bathroom structure, billiard room and reconfigured pool was created to encourage indoor outdoor living. The entire house can also be controlled remotely and is energy efficient. The interior is warm and cozy, and includes a collection of favorite furnishings from South American design and European Modernism.
