Condo RF in Miami

Apartment by Mueblería Standard in Miami Beach, FL

After five projects we had done for this customer over the years, we needed to design something completely different for this vacation condo.

The decision was to create a transitional eclectic home.

The client had just sold her main house (that was featured in several architectural books) so we brought some of her valued items to the condo like the antique wrought iron gate, the acrylic bedroom nightstands, the silver leaf suede chairs and the Chinese screen.

It had to be a cheery place but formal at the same time.

In the foyer the combination of mother of pearl and red lacquer, gives it a fresh, fun look.

We used moldings on the walls as a “frame” for her incredible artwork since she is a very important art collector.

The color palette of the social area is monochromatic black and white.

The breakfast and dining room tables have Murano bases. The combination of the quartz chandelier and lacquered dining chairs make a big statement.

The Carrara marble sculpture is by Atchugarry, one of the most important artists in the world.

To give it a warm look there is a mix of textures in the fabrics. We used velvet, chenille, silk, linen and leather.

In the master bedroom we also incorporated yellow to make it bright.
