Deco Inspired

by Brynn Olson Design Group in Chicago, IL

When they returned home to Chicago after a decade in New York, our clients agreed that they needed a larger home for their young, growing family. When it came to their design styles, however, they were on two ends of the spectrum. While he has a sense of style rooted in timelessness, clean lines, and classical architecture, she has a penchant for color, collections, and anything that feels a little organically collected and unique. Their common ground? A love for Jean Louis Deniot. With that as a starting point, we embraced his preference for restraint and her love for color to find the perfect design medley. A fixture in the dining room inspired by a vintage Miracle Chandelier suits him. A 160-year-old Balinese sculpture in the Family Room suits her. Incredible antique doors pulled from a Parisian residence with new Nanz hardware repurposed as their Entry coat closet doors appeal to both. The unique blend of their styles perfectly defines them and their own personal creation of home.
