Flatiron District Loft

The renovation and decoration of a loft apartment near Madison Square Park in New York. This pied-a-terre is an intentional contrast to the owner’s grand traditional home in another state. While the furniture and atmosphere are contemporary, the palette and disposition of furniture and artwork are rich and layered. Custom elements such as the hand-blocked Art Deco wallpaper and painted canvas floor-cloth are current takes on historic techniques, while other elements are decidedly modern.
