The directive was bright and cheery. We will never forget the power point that our client assiduously pulled together to kick off the design. She had a clear outline of her vision. For one, she knew she loved all shades of blue. She knew that a pale blush was to be the parlour’s complementary shade and that a deep dramatic dining room would be its backdrop. She knew the kitchen would get a wallpaper. She knew the powder room would have a harlequin floor. She sought for us to weave together all of the pieces, to bring her textiles and ideas that she didn’t even know existed, and ultimately to pull together a harmonious and breathtaking design.
We compiled our client’s meticulous inspiration and launched into the design phase. We knew from the get go that this would be a condensed version of our normal process. Several weeks later we shared all in an hours long virtual design meeting. We could all see immediately that - in the words of her husband - we had “Nailed It.”
