What started as a kitchen + two-bathroom renovation expanded into a full gut renovation of this modern family house with spectacular views of San Francisco. Our clients, who have familial connections to Japan, chose our team to interpret traditional Japanese home design in ways that celebrated California-local materials and complemented the western modernity of the house’s architecture (while being very practical for an active family: the serenity of these spaces belies all the storage we added!).
