Lake House
Family Home by Shantam Interiors in AB, CA
Set on a lake in Alberta, this residence was composed from the first finish selection to the final object placed. The interiors were developed as a complete environment, with furniture, lighting, wool rugs, grasscloth wallpaper, custom drapery and bedding selected or made specifically for the home.
At the heart of the project is a tapestry designed by Etienne Grossi and produced by an artisan, abstracting the movement and colours of the surrounding water and sky. Original photography, natural materials and a restrained palette bring warmth and depth to the architecture while allowing the setting to remain central.
