Vacation Home by Redmond Aldrich Design in Park City, UT
We looked to the Alps for inspiration for this mountain home, and settled on a story of Heidi (the Swiss children’s book character), who grows up to become an art student, and then travels to the American Rockies on her year abroad. Vegetal colors, Josef Frank patterns, embroidery and plaids all shine and bring life to the contemporary clean architecture of the building. A highlight for us is the vintage dirndls belonging to the owner’s mother that we had framed in lucite and hang in the hallway.
