Petra Apartment

Designed for an art collector, this 1203 sq. ft. two bedroom apartment in Chelsea plays on art, graphic fabrics, and vibrant color to animate a plain vanilla developer apartment. The second bedroom was converted into an office and opened up to the living area, which opened up views and allows more light into both spaces, while degrade wool curtain panels in the office and dining room help to unify the spaces. A queen-sized Murphy bed and sliding doors allow the office to double as a guest bedroom when needed. The pillows and cushions in the living area were upholstered in vibrant colored fabrics from Missoni. The custom pendant over the dining table was fabricated using vintage light fixtures the client found in Prague. In the master bedroom, an expanded closet and custom walnut millwork provides plenty of clothing, shoe and jewelry storage.
